About the conference
The 10th HTAsiaLink

The 10th HTAsiaLink Conference would be happening under the theme

The Role of HTA in the New Normal: Driving the post COVID health system through evidence-informed decisions.

With COVID-19 still hitting hard, treatment and epidemiological paradigms have been challenged and changed. New innovations and approaches to health system optimiszation and disruption, such as big data, real-world evidence, etc. become more prominent. In the new normal, health technology assessment (HTA) is more needed than before to ensure the continued sustainability of healthcare systems in 2022 and beyond.

Let’s be a part of the discussion on how the role of HTA will be in the world after COVID-19 pandemic in this HTAsiaLink Annual Conference 2022, which marks 10th anniversary of HTAsiaLink network. It is the time to learn and exchange, celebrate the special occasions and make memories together! We are open for all organizations to play a part in the next regional and international HTA conference and share with us your completed or work-in progress research studies for oral and poster presentations.

HTAsiaLink Annual Conference is a member-only event. However, pre-conference sessions are open to everyone who are interested.

If you are interested to be a member, please contact htasialinkconf@hitap.net, htasialink2022@hitap.net

About Plenary
Plenary Session

The COVID-19 pandemic will have a lasting impact on the world and highlights the need for changes in health systems as well as HTA to support health decision making. How prepared health systems need to be to respond to unexpected changes? What should post-COVID-19 research focus on? Let’s explore how health systems and HTA may adjust in responses to changes post-COVID-19 settings.

Real-world evidence (RWE), derived from real-world data, is gaining increasing interest for its use in HTA. In the past, there had been a number of issues raised and opinions expressed especially with regard to challenges ensuring reliable RWE for HTA and the value of RWE for the purposes of health care decision-making. As RWE is needed and can play a significant role, where RWE will be in the future?

Disruptive technology continues to bring changes to healthcare. Telemedicine has played a big part during the pandemic. Robotic surgery and precision medicines also help improve the outcome of procedures and treatments. In addition, AI, as an enabler for disruptive innovation, is one of the areas at the forefront of changes. However, are these disruptive technologies the way to go, and if it is, how to optimise the results?
